About Durham Fly Fishers

Durham Fly Fishers are a group of anglers who are interested in fly fishing (obviously).
Meetings are held every second and fourth Thursday of the month through the winter October to early April. (We are too busy fishing in the summer) at the Brandon & Meadowfield Royal British Legion Club in Meadowfield, a few miles west of Durham City at 7.30 for and 8.00pm start.

The beer is good, the atmosphere is friendly and it’s club prices too !!. Bring a friend you will be made most welcome.

Membership is open to anyone. The membership fee is fantastic value and only £10.

Most members bring some fly-tying kit and beginners, novices and experts all share their knowledge and skills. The more experienced members are always happy and prepared to demonstrate their skills and help those interested in developing their fly tying & fishing skills.

We arrange Demo’s & Presentations from well known anglers, covering all aspects of the sport including rivers, stillwaters & saltwater. We also arrange a few days out at various local stillwaters and rivers with a bit of tuition thrown in.

Please use the CONTACT US page to get in touch. We look forward to hearing from you.
